Flodesk Studio Review: Why I’m Excited about this new email tool

Disclaimer: I’m a Flodesk partner and this blog contains affiliate links. I am breaking down why I have been with them for so long and why I’m excited about Flodesk Studio!

I have been a Flodesk user since it was in beta in 2021, and I have not tried another email marketing platform since. As someone who works in marketing and doesn’t have a massive team, builds funnels, writes emails, creates sales pages, and helps business owners turn their ideas into content that actually sounds and feels like them, I have used a lot of tools inside client businesses. But for my own business, Flodesk has been the email platform I have continued to grow with year after year and I refer all of my clients to this.

What started as the platform I used to send beautiful emails has become so much more than that. Today, I use Flodesk to house my email list, send email campaigns, build email workflows, create sales pages, and host checkout pages. It has become one of the core tools in my business because it makes marketing feel more like creating, without sacrificing strategy, clarity, or the overall brand experience. It’s SIMPLE.

Emails in general have been such a huge growth opportunity for me and Flodesk makes it easy to keep up with. I love how easy it is for me, a non-designer and not a lover of all things graphics, to create and send emails. The templates are wonderful and I can do it quickly.

Emails matter. But the way your emails look and feel matters too.

For small business owners, service providers, creatives, and personal brands, email design is a huge part of brand trust. Your emails should feel consistent with your website, your social media, your offers, and the experience people have when they interact with your business. That is where Flodesk has always stood out to me. It gives business owners the ability to create elevated, beautiful emails without needing to be a designer, developer, or tech expert.

Now, Flodesk has released Flodesk Studio and now Flodesk is becoming a bigger part of my business.

Flodesk Studio is a place where you can create beautiful, on-brand emails, whether you plan to send them through Flodesk or export them to another email platform that supports HTML. That is one of the features that immediately stood out to me because, for a long time, the email platform you used dictated what your emails could look like OR you had to pick from a template (which I always hated doing and just resorted to plain emails.). If you were using another email service provider for a client, a CRM, a larger team, or a specific business setup, you were often limited by that platform’s builder. Flodesk for awhile I would suggest to people only because of the templates because their templates that already existed were great. Now we get that one step further.

Flodesk Studio changes that by giving you a design-first space to create emails that look polished, professional, and aligned with your brand, then take them where they need to go.

That is a big deal for business owners and marketers because email design can take time and then make it look sloppy if you aren’t finding what you want. So many entrepreneurs know what they want to say. They know the offer, the message, the story, and the feeling they want their audience to have. But when they open their email platform, the final product can feel clunky, generic, or disconnected from the rest of their brand.

The most powerful content answers one important question for your audience: does this actually look and sound like me?

That is the question I care about most when I create anything for my own business or for a client. Not just, “Is this pretty?” Not just, “Will this convert?” But does this feel like the brand? Does it sound like the person behind the business? Does it create the right feeling before someone ever clicks the button?

Flodesk Studio gives you a creative place to build from, while still allowing your strategy, voice, and brand perspective to lead.

One thing I really appreciate about Studio is that it is not positioned as something that replaces your creativity. The foundation is human-designed, which means real designers built the system the AI runs on. It is accelerated and is meant to help you create faster and maybe even get a little creative on your own!

That distinction matters to me because I do not want more content on the internet that feels copy-and-pasted. I want tools that help business owners create faster while still protecting the thing that makes their brand worth paying attention to in the first place.

With Studio, you still bring the voice, the offer, the story, the strategy, and the taste. You still get to decide if the email feels like you. You still shape the message, refine the design, and make sure the final piece aligns with your brand experience.

You can use Flodesk Studio for a real email you are working on, a fresh campaign idea, a launch email, a newsletter, a nurture sequence, or even an email you originally built somewhere else and want to remake in a more elevated way. For marketers, service providers, creators, and small business owners, that kind of flexibility is incredibly valuable because email is still one of the most important places to build trust with your audience.

Social media gets attention, but email continues to build the relationship.

When your emails feel aligned with the rest of your brand, people notice. They may not say, “Wow, this email design is beautiful,” but they feel the difference. They feel the clarity, the confidence, the consistency, and the professionalism. They can tell when an email has been thrown together versus when it has been intentionally created as part of a larger brand experience.

That is why I have used Flodesk for years. It has supported my emails, offers, sales pages, checkout pages, launches, and ongoing communication with my audience. It has grown with the way I run my business, and now Flodesk Studio gives business owners even more room to create emails that feel beautiful, strategic, and true to their brand.

Right now, Flodesk Studio is free in beta. If you are wondering what it will cost later, Flodesk is using the beta period to figure that out, which makes this a great time to explore it, test it, and see how it fits into your email marketing workflow. Flodesk members get access to Studio for free. Use this link to save 25% off your first year with Flodesk.

My honest reaction as someone who has been using Flodesk since the early days is that Studio feels like a natural evolution of what Flodesk has always done well. It makes email marketing more beautiful, more intuitive, and more accessible for people who care about how their brand looks, sounds, and feels.

If you are a small business owner, creative entrepreneur, service provider, or marketer who wants to create better-looking emails without being boxed in by your current email platform, Flodesk Studio is absolutely worth trying.
